The Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (MITECO) will open an investigation into the large-scale party held on Isla del Ciervo in the Mar Menor lagoon over the weekend of August 20th and 21st, which brought together around one hundred boats. Based on this investigation, sanctions may be applied if violations of legislation are proven, such as those related to the environmental protection of the protected area, maritime safety, and recreational activities, given that the event took place without the necessary permits and oversight.
