REMOVAL OF FACILITIES FROM PUERTO MAYOR

Removal of facilities from Puerto Mayor and environmental restoration (San Javier municipality)

Removal of the Puerto Mayor facilities resulting from the works carried out years ago to convert this area into a marina, which were never completed.
The removal of sheet piles, fills and contaminated soils is planned.
Work will be carried out on one of the breakwaters and the inner enclosure of the Levante dike, and an environmental restoration will be carried out (dune restoration, planting of Posidonia oceanica , wooden walkways and perimeter fencing).

→ Milestones achieved

In April 2025 the project completed the EIA procedure, with the resolution of the DIA ( BOE of 11/04/2025 ), and the conditions established therein were incorporated into the project.

The contract for the execution of the works has already been awarded ( Resolution of 11/05/2026 )
