The MITECO completes the environmental remediation of the Sierra Minera with the sealing of seven deposits in El Llano del Beal and El Estrecho de San Ginés (Cartagena)

The Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (MITECO), through the General Directorate of Biodiversity, Forests and Desertification (DGBBD), has completed the first recovery action of the Sierra Minera of Cartagena and La Unión, with the remediation of seven abandoned deposits in the area of Llano del Beal and El Estrecho de San Ginés (Cartagena), whose execution budget has amounted to almost 7 million euros.
