BRUNITE MINING DEPOSIT RESTORATION

Brunita - Zone 1

This action is carried out on an area of 26.16 ha, which includes the "Brunita" mining waste deposit along with two other deposits called "Pocilgas", as well as its immediate surroundings.

The tailings ponds are undergoing topographic reshaping to ensure their structural stability and surface sealing with waterproofing layers. The surrounding area is being treated with liming materials and topsoil. This ensures the containment and stability of the mining waste.

The project has been underway since February 2025. The works have progressed at a slower pace than initially planned, with the earthworks intended to improve the structural stability of the Brunita IRMA still underway and those of Pocilgas having been completed, as well as the dike and the channelings planned in the ravines of the area of action.
