SUPPORT FOR SUSTAINABILITY IN THE LIVESTOCK SECTOR

Grants for the recovery of the ecological functionality of the Mar Menor through improvement
environmental impact on livestock farming

The Biodiversity Foundation is working on a livestock aid program similar to its existing agricultural program. The total funding is €11.5 million, with grants ranging from €300,000 to €2,000,000, covering up to 90% of project costs.

Previously, a meeting was held with the sector in May 2025 to discuss the call for proposals and share potential courses of action. This meeting followed earlier meetings in an ongoing dialogue with the sector.

This is a line of aid that supports the transition of productive sectors and promotes the environmental transformation of livestock farming through management changes, improved slurry management and support for more extensive uses.
